The high quality brass of this collectible makes it an ideal 21st (brass) anniversary gift. This vintage compact is suitable for use with modern loose and pressed face powder or as a handbag mirror. The lid is adorned with the most eye-catching and lustrous enamel. It is so reminiscent of the designs seen in the 1970s - the era from which this vanity originates. Orange, black, white and gold enamel patterns in super condition. One we have not seen before. There is no loss of design. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent and it gives a clear / accurate reflection. The powder well is protected by the original waxed paper insert. The base is signed 'Stratton' MADE IN ENGLAND' and decorated with vertical lines and tiny chevrons. The original sifter is present. This vintage compact mirror measures 3 1/4" & weighs 99.5 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
