Georgian Period Coalbrookdale Strong Box
A substantial late Georgian Coalbrookdale marked cast iron safe / strong box with original brass escutcheon and catch.
The strong box is a single cast with a hinged lid containing a three bar locking mechanism. The interior is fitted out in pine with a false bottom containing a secret drawer below which could be easily removed if required.
It is complete with its highly decorative and early original key.
