Georgian Gothic carve walnut armchair throne chair
Antique rare 18C Georgian Gothic carved walnut armchair throne chair.
This rare chair came from the Master's Lodge, Trinity College, Cambridge.
This is an early Georgian walnut chair. Recently been reupholstered in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light cream/oatmeal colour.
Fantastic Gothic styling and lovely wear/patination.
Solid, heavy and no loose joints.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
Overall maximum dimensions:
61cmW x 80cmD x 111cmH (45cmH seat).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. As is to be expected with Georgian walnut antique furniture there are some woodworm holes, but these are extinct and have been treated for good measure (the chair is still strong and usable).
