A lovely original old Georgian chest, c early 1800s.  Made of figured elm,  original cast iron handles, missing lock, lined with newspaper. The newspaper lining is dated at June 1863. In original condition, structurally sound but with some warping to wood, old woodworm, lock missing.  The beautiful wood and patina on this would make it an ideal coffee table.
