A very stylish, large silver bread basket, navette shape set on a pedestal base with reeded rims. A plain polished body with double pierced bands of slim vertical strips and a single band to the base. The swing handle widens in the centre and is edged with reeded bands.

Hallmarked for Birmingham 1911, the original maker's mark has been overstruck with that of The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company. Matching partial marks to the handle.

It measures 32cm (11 5/8") long, 22.2cm (8 3/4") wide and 22.8cm (9") high with the handle raised. It weighs 598g / 19.2ozt.

Condition is very good with no damage, dents or repair and minor surface wear appropriate for age. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
