Geo III Oak and Mahogany Longcsae Clock

A handsome Geo III longcase clock by James Warren, Canterbury. There was a father and son, both named James working there in the late 18th Cent.
The good quality case is in oak with mahogany cross banding. It has a nice slim trunk with long door and it stands on its original bracket feet (one back foot repaired) The trunk has a nice swan neck pedement, fluted columns with brass capitals and a pair of brass finials.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has a nice clear painted dial with a subsidiary seconds dial.
The case is in good unrestored condition and has retained its original finish. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
228cm (89.5") high
49cm (19") wide
25cm (10") deep
