Gents 1970s J W Benson wrist watch.
The watch has a good quality Swiss 25-jewel ETA automatic movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 34mm high excluding the lugs and 35mm wide excluding the winding crown. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. There is some rubbing to the plate if you look quite closely.
The lens is in good condition, just one small 1mm scratch but again, you have to look carefully to see it.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, J W Benson, London W1. The dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and a day / date display (initially set by pulling the crown out to first position and turning clockwise or anti-clockwise.
Unusually, the watch has its original J W Benson leather strap.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
