French White Marble and Ormolu Clock
French Ormolu mantel clock on a stepped base with Acanthus leaf decoration, classical figure in robes playing a flute to one side of the dial with musical instruments to the opposite side and surmounted by a Lyre.
Three inch gilded dial with Roman numerals, ‘blued’ steel moonpoise hands signed ‘Aubert, Bologne’.
Eight day movement with silk suspension and outside countwheel strike on a silvered bell. C.1840
