A French gilt ormolu and bronze mantel clock of slim proportions. A well cast figure of a French Cavalier standing on a bronze tree stump and gilt leaves. A gilt bronze two tone base standing on splayed feet. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1870.

Height 17" / 43 cms Width 11 " / 28 cms Depth 3 1/2" / 9 cms.
