A late C19th French carved gilt-wood canape of pretty proportions.
The water gilded frame having an arch-curved back above serpentine shaped front and raised on fluted tapering supports. The caned back in good condition having just one negligible repair
The (horse-hair) squab cushion currently upholstered in green shot-silk.
The gilding is pleasingly worn, revealing the bole beneath, commensurate with a piece of this age and the desirable aesthetics of this style.
