French Boullework Mantel Clock
An ornate Louis XVth style mantel antique clock, dating to the late 19th Century. It has a waisted case with a Boullework case comprising of a ground of stained red tortoiseshell, and fine engraved brass inlay with applied gilt ormolu decoration. It has a cream enamel dial with black numerals and an 8 day striking movement, made by Marti & Co of Paris. It sounds the hours and halves on a gong.
Current Condition
The case is in excellent original condition, the brass has been polished and lacquered to avoid tarnishing.The movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this antique clock striking please email us.
