A pretty Flight, Barr & Barr period Worcester porcelain open sugar bowl with gilded gadrooned rim and raised, shaped handles with moulded knops and stylised acanthus leaves. Decorated with a apricot enamel ground, over-gilded with a stylised strawberry vine and further gilt frieze around the shoulders. Gilt band around the foot and the moulded detail of the handles also picked out in gilt. Unmarked, c.1820.

A lovely, large bowl, very useful as a piece of serveware.

It measures 18.5cm (7 1/4") wide across the handles, 12cm (4 3/4") high to the handles and 14.3cm (5 5/8") wide across the body.

In excellent condition with no damage, repair or restoration. Some minor handling wear to the apricot ground and a little to the gilt on the handles in places. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
