Fire Gilt Rococo French Mantle antique clock by Vincetti c1850

A stunning mercurial gilt bronze rococo French mantle clock striking the hour and half hour on a large bell. The case is simply perfect having no obvious losses, dents or scrapes. amazingly it is made from 19 individual pieces all screwed together with fine screws. each piece is individually gilt and has been "hand chased" to a very high standard. At the front of the clock sits a hoofed Putti playing cymbals with drape of cloth across its shoulders down to the lap, again the Putti has been hand chased and gilt individually. The photo does not fully show just how refined the case is but in today's sunlight, the clock twinkles and reflects the light beautifully.
The Separately gilt dial features perfectly white hand painted cartouches depicting the numbers of the hour.
The fine polished countwheel striking movement with the medallion stamp of Vincetti has been fully overhauled and comes with a full three years guarantee for your peace of mind.
