Fine George I Period Walnut 8 Day Longcase Clock
A Fine George I period figured walnut 8 Day longcase clock.c.1720. 10" brass and silvered dial with date aperture and seconds count to the matted centre. Gilt spandrels to the corners. 5 pillar London style movement, striking on a bell to the hour. Made by Joseph Phillips of Bristol(w.1700-45). Book matched veneers and cross banding to the small proportioned case. Blind fretwork to the moulded cornice hood. Barley twist supports and view windows to the sides. Superb colour, condition and patina. Stands 77"high. Full working order.
