A Fine 19th Century antique brass cased 8 day striking and repeating Paris made carriage antique clock with decorative painted porcelain dial and side panels. c.1890. Decorative brass case with beaded trim and reeded carry handle to the top. Beveled edge glass window to the top, face and rear door. Fine quality hand painted floral dial and matching side panels with gilt relief probably by Hadley's Worcester. Quality movement striking on a gong on the hour and half hour, repeater button to the top, and alarm feature with subsidiary dial to mark the alarm time to the dial. Retailed by Hall & Co of Manchester. Fully overhauled movement, porcelain dial and side panels in mint condition. Small nick to the edge of the front glass, hardly noticeable. 12 months guarantee. Measures 5.75" tall ( 7.5" with handle up ) 4.25" wide. x 3.75" deep. Stock number 32928.
