This is a fabulous hand painted and gilded Chinese lacquer cabinet which dates from the late 19th Century. The rich red lacquer is prettily decorated with traditional birds, blossom and pagoda motifs. The cabinet has two useful deep drawers to the base and the double doors open to reveal hanging space with a rail. It will have had shelves at one time and these could easily be reinstated if desired. The doors and drawers have their original metal ware handles and the cabinet generally is in excellent order with a real shine to the lacquer.
This is a great size measuring 180 cms high by 94 cms wide and 54 cms deep.
