Exquisite 19th Century Carved Bombe Cabinet
Exquisite 19th Century carved mahogany bombe two door cabinet in the Chippendale manner. This extremely good quality cabinet has been constructed with the finest mahogany timbers with superb crisp carvings. The serpentine shaped mahogany top with striking grain having a inlaid and crossbanded boarder and finely carved edge sitting over two shaped doors profusely carved with foliage which open to reveal shelved storage.
Flanking either side are rose and foliage carved and shaped supports terminating on a tapering leg with the side being of bombe form again having decorative foliage carvings. This exquisite cabinet dating to circa 1860 - 1880 is in excellent condition having been restored using traditional methods retaining a beautiful warm colour and very good proportions.
