This is the 1975 Wedgwood issue of the boat race bowl issued in a limited edition. This bowl comes complete with its original box. This bowl was originally owned by a Director of Wedgwood and as such did not form part of the original issue of 200. The significant difference between this bowl and the numbered limited editions is that this bowl is simply finished in black and white and does not have the coloured highlights. From the original run where additional bowls were produced to cover for any damaged or broken ones they were surplus to the finite issue and thus given to the Directors unfinished.
