English Dial, Chain Fusee Wall Clock by Dent

A very robust, 20th century wall antique clock in a mahogany case.
The substantial, industrial quality, 8 day duration chain fusee movement with Anchor Recoil escapement. Having pinned and screwed pillars and the backplate bearing the maker's trademark of "DENT" within a triangle and "LONDON" below it.
Behind a flat, painted metal dial with its original 'conserved' paintwork. The outer divided minute track has triangular hour markings and encompasses Roman hour numerals. The upper centre bears the maker's name of "DENT" within a triangle and the lower centre displays "LONDON 68328". It is also marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" to the bottom. Also having black metal hands and a cast brass, polished bezel with a flat glass and an integral silvered sight ring.
Contained in a solid mahogany case, the dial surround being made from several pieces to avoid shrinkage and the back box has a right side access door and a lower curved access door set within the curved bottom.
Dent were famous English clockmakers and produced excellent quality antique clocks for monarchs, the armed forces and the public spanning generations.
