Elegant French Mantel Clock Silver Plate
We are offering for sale this elegant French, silver plated on copper, Mantel Timepiece. The circular enamel dial with black Roman numerals and black hands, the rectangular case with undulating arched top, which overhangs the plain sides.
There are two decorative panels to each side of the front of the case, with raised lattice and floral decoration. The centre panel is slightly higher than these panels, which are raised on bun feet.
The brass movement is stamped MADE IN FRANCE, with no makers name, sadly. We would date this antique clock to circa 1910-15.
It is beautifully made, elegantly designed and is keeping excellent time.
