An Egyptian Revival Black Marble Clock
Circa 1860s made by the renowned clock and jewellery makers Hamilton and Inches of Edinburgh with Royal warrant granted by Queen Victoria in 1893 .
Featuring a stunning black marble case engraved with Egyptian hieroglyphics the clock is adorned with beautiful Egyptian bronze mounts and topped by a bronze statue of Lamassu , creating a truly clock .
This clock, made in the 1860s, would have been among the earliest items sold by Hamilton and Inches, thereby enhancing its historical significance.
