A very good quality mahogany writing table from the early Victorian period. Of good construction in solid mahogany timber, now with a warm and rich colour and patina. The top is surrounded by thumb-nail molding and is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface. There are a pair of drawers fitted with their original wooden bun handles and attractive escutcheons. This writing table stands on very refined , elegant reeded legs which terminate in "petals" to the bottom. It is finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. This table could function equally well as a writing table, or alternatively a lamp, hall, or side table. We have had this lovely table sympathetically repolished to a very high standard and it is now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
