Dropdial Wall Clock
A walnut dropdial wall antique clock. Brass inlays to the case with a pendulum aperture. A 12" painted dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. An 8-day duration fusee timepiece mechanism. Circa 1860.
The antique clock was made by a German clockmaker, Meyer who came to London as many others did with clockmaking skills. The mechanism's are normally wooden framed but this is a high quality fusee with a continental design. An interesting clock!
