Exceptionally pretty and practical French inlaid semainier / secretaire dated to about c 1900. The secretaire interior and cross banded side panels are in satinwood, the other timber being Mahogany.

This stunning antique secretaire has beautiful marquetry drawer fronts, loads of ormolu fittings and an original marble top. There are 5 smoothly running drawers and a pull down section of 3 drawers fronts behind which is the secretaire with 2 drawers, a stationary area and writing surface.
