Derby Porcelain Botanical Dessert Plate c.1806
Beautifully painted Derby dessert plate after the William Curtis botanical study of the Toothed ("Tooted") Leaved Hibbertia. Painted on a plain white ground with simple gilded rim. Scripted title painted to the reverse and red Derby mark for c.1806.
It measures 8 7/8" wide and 1 1/4" high. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. The surface of the porcelain is finely crazed, with some very small patches of discolouration in a few places near the rim and there is minimal surface wear to the enamel. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
