Vintage musical powder boxes gifts for her Kigu 'Minuette' musical compact copper wedding anniversary gifts

This mid-century powder compact is made from ‘gilding metal’ which is a malleable form of brass ideal for engraving with highly decorative styles. Compacts made from ‘gilding metal’ make deal copper wedding anniversary gifts as their composition is 95% copper & 5% zinc.

A delightful and Kigu 'Minuette' made in Kigu's heyday. The lid has gorgeous gilt scroll work & is very beautiful. The interior all gilt jeweller's / jeweler's finish & signed 'KIGU' within the registered triangular trademark & the word 'Minuette' inscribed too. Turn the key clockwise four times & the adorable tune plays really well.
Just adorable! The whole musical powder box is in excellent condition, including the bevelled mirror which gives an excellent reflection. The edges are scalloped & the base is signed 'KIGU MADE IN ENGLAND'.

This 1950s Kigu 'Minuette' measures 3 1/4" & weighs 123.5 grams.
