Here we have a breathtaking Italian Walnut Cassone c1780. As you can see the the chest has wonderful colour and patina. The top has lovely Walnut planks of great colour. The front is carved in relief with the most incredible detail. There are battle scenes with knights and horses. There are gadrooned edges to the top and base with internal carving to the edge of the friezes. The ends of the chest are forward to create an inverted break front. A super chest which would make a wonderful window seat or end of bed chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 68 inches wide 22 deep and 21.5 high.
