Caughley Teapot and Stand circa 1785

A Caughley ribbed teapot and stand, circa 1785. Decorated in polychrome by Chamberlains with a scattered floral sprig pattern similar to that known as 'Barbeaux Sprigs'. They have a repeating pattern to the border and a gilded rim. Unglazed base, unmarked.
(See Caughley in Colour, plate 108 for similar pattern of 'Barbeaux Sprigs')
Caughley produced blanks between 1780 and 1790 then sent them to Chamberlains, Worcester to be painted.
Condition...
Nibbles to the edge of the teapot lid (see photograph). Some gilding wear to the teapot handle and the top of the teapot (see photograph).
Please note the one sprig pattern out of sync to cover a flaw in the porcelain body of the teapot.
