Cast Iron Hall Stand
Lovely late 19th.c. cast iron hall stand c.1890. Six large double hooks for hats and coats over a hoop stay for sticks and umbrellas etc with a drip tray in the base. Cast as a trellis of intertwined plant forms topped with a fruit and acanthus leaf finial. The base is modelled as two writhing serpents into which sits the original enamel drip tray. Cast with the serial number N.M 1713 at the rear. Various layers of paint which adds to the feel of the piece
