Here we have a stunning Indo-Portuguese cabinet c1780. As you can see the cabinet has great colour and patina. The lid works on a metal spring and opens to reveal a shallow compartment. There is a arrangement of six drawers with moulded ebony edges and inlaid with bone and faux shell. There are original working locks and a key to all drawers and the central door. The door opens to reveal three smaller drawers with original handles. The chest is further decorated with line inlay and lozenge shaped cartouche's throughout. The sides are inlaid with Ebony strings. There is a solid Ebony moulding to the base and the chest sits on original solid Ebony bun feet. A rare and beautiful chest in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 32 inches wide 23 high and 13 deep.
