C19th Lidded Carved Alabaster Urn, 54 Cm Alabaster urns vases %%alt5%%
Stunning 19th century alabaster lidded urn with finely carved decoration. Large and heavy. 54cm high, diameter is 23cm with base diameter 17cm. Beautiful colour and veining of the stone. Some minor chips in line with age and vein crackling to the lid. Evidence of having had a top finial but displays really well. Base has later addition for a bulb fitting which could light up the translucence of the alabaster.
