A richly decorated Japanese Imari bowl, featuring a vibrant palette of iron red, emerald green, cobalt blue, and gilt. The interior features alternating panels of traditional motifs, blossoming trees, stylised florals, and tranquil landscape scenes. The exterior is equally striking, hand-painted with a continuous band of stylised florals and foliage in coordinating tones. Delicate outlines lend rhythm to the decoration, while a fine blue line encircles the rim and a subtle geometric border finishes the lower edge. Together, these elements enhance the bowl’s sculptural presence and reflect the refined craftsmanship and export elegance characteristic of the Imari tradition.
