An excellent Queen Anne style writing desk or table. Very well made from solid walnut, attractive burr walnut veneers and with solid oak drawer linings. The top is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface, decorated with gilt tooling to the edges. There is a series of one long and 4 shorter drawers giving ample storage capacity, all fitted with their original brass swan-neck handles. The desk stands proudly on elegant cabriole legs with shell motifs to the knees and terminating in ball and claw feet. This desk is finished to the back in burr walnut so it could be free standing if desired. This lovely desk is offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
