A fine quality carriage antique clock by noted maker Bourdin, Clockmaker to the King of France. The original case gilding to the elegantly proportioned case. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a bell. Push button repeating. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands and signed by maker with subsidiary alarm. The original escapement of high quality. A sound fretted base panel. Signed 'Bourdin, Paris' to the back plate. Numbered 595. Push button repeating. Subsidiary alarm mechanism. Circa 1860.
