Good looking early 19th.c. Biedermeier mahogany chest of drawers c.1830. Plenty of storage inside the two large drawers plus a third much shallower secret drawer hidden in the moulding and accessed with a sprung catch below. Good looking chest featuring a crossbanded caddy top, beautiful flame mahogany veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the top and front and flanked with a fine pair of columns with carved capitals. With turned mahogany knobs, brass escutcheons and locks. Excellent colour and condition, some repairs to the the veneers. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
