This is a late Victorian Arts and Crafts Huge Oak settle probably made for a waiting room c1880-1900.  The picture does not give you the scale of this piece.  It is a solid Oak settle raise don three sets of legs with high back after the Scottish school prevalance after 1885 and the rise and rise of the Glasgow four.  It is upholstered with William Morris fabric and has had upholstered arms at one point.  A great and rare piece if not stupidly heavy.
