A magnificent and original Art Deco mantle antique clock for your consideration, Circa 1930. Stunning profile, having a high squared centre and slender, tapered wings. Reminiscent of the golden age of flight. Attractive inlay, using ebony, fruitwoods and walnut. Within, a splendid Westminster movement by Haller, striking pitch perfectly on gong rods. A mellow and tuneful sound. Some Westminster chimes can be shrill and bombastic. This example is modest, precise and pleasing. Chimes incrementally on the quarters and strikes a pleasing chord on the hours.
We've had this clock fully serviced by qualified horologist so comes to you with movement in fully functioning condition that chimes every half and full hour. The clock runs for approximately 8 days on one winding.
