This is a superb quality antique English Art Deco shaped figured walnut glazed display cabinet, circa 1930, in excellent original condition.

Description:
This is a superb quality antique English Art Deco shaped figured walnut glazed display cabinet, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The display cabinet has been traditionally French polished by hand in our workshop therefore, the finish and colour are in excellent condition. Stunning matching symmetrical figured walnut veneer detail visible on the front and sides. Designed with decorative shaped moulded sides, it incorporates two original glazed doors, incorporating shaped astragal glazed beading. The left door retains the original metal locking bolts, and the right door, retains its original working lock (with working key). Inside, there are two shelves at fixed heights. Below, the display cabinet features a pretty shaped plinth resting on bracket feet. The rear of the cabinet displays the original backboards. An ideal display cabinet, for multiple uses such as displaying china or storing books.
The cabinet features a mellow figured walnut colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination having been cleaned and French polished, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the hallway to the living room or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

There is a 3cm gap between the back of the shelf and the backboards, therefore the total shelf depth would be 25cm (the actual shelf is 22cm deep + 3cm gap = 25cm total depth). This may be useful to know, if you want the display cabinet for storing books.

This Art Deco figure walnut shaped display cabinet is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The display cabinet has been traditionally French polished by hand in our workshop therefore, the finish and colour are in excellent condition. The doors retain the original glass, including the original locking bolts and lever lock, with working key. There are no splits to the walnut veneer on the top or either side, or warps to the doors – the doors close flush to the frame. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you be email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.

For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. Free 14 Days UK Returns & Refunds:
A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. We will collect the item free of charge from you (we do not charge a return fee / collection fee). You will be given a full refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect returns using our own specialist antique furniture delivery company. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit).
