An Art Deco Library Table, English circa 1930 is offered for your consideration. A high end, rare table that not only offers the best quality in both timbers and craftsmanship but is extremely functional too. Scalloped edges to the table with upper pull out slides which act as extending shelves with lower two tier open storage shelves. All veneered in Birdseye Maple, true blonde colouring that will integrate easily with most settings. All in top condition, having recently been professionally restored. Epstein antique furniture was originally founded in East London in the 1890s. Harry and Lou Epstein started the production of Art Deco forms from the 1930s. The craftsmanship was to extremely high standards, most pieces were custom made. Art Deco pieces are not signed. From the 1960s, some pieces were labelled ‘H. & L. Epstein’ or ‘Epstein & Goldman’.
