This is a beautiful antique rug from East Azerbaijan in North West Persia which dates from the early 20th century. This finely woven carpet has a rich and colourful design with a central floral medallion set within a decorative lozenge with ice blue spandrels and a deep foliate border. The rug is a good useful size and measures 197 cm by 135 cm. It is in excellent condition throughout.
