A rare and fascinating 1930s compact from Parfumerie de Fleury. The repoussage lid of this antique vanity features three nudes and it is signed 'VANIPACT DE FLEURY'. This scene is highly likely to have been inspired by ancient mythology but no one knows the source of the inspiration. The exterior and interior are silver plated and the compact mirror is in good condition. All hinges and clasps work perfectly. The mirror has a few age related marks. However, it is still usable. Powder pans measuring 42 mm diameter with a depth of 4 mm or less can be inserted into the powder well. Measures nearly 2" and weighs 39 grams.
