Antique Oak Corner Cabinet
This is a very handsome glazed oak antique corner cabinet.
It is a very good practical size, and ideal for a dining room to display and store a dinner service.
It is a 19th century piece, cabinet maker built in solid oak, in the Georgian style of about 1740.
The base stands on 3 well executed cabriole legs with pad feet. It has a pretty shaped apron and a central drawer with 2 dummy drawers either side.
The drawer itself has its original oak lining and is of hand cut dovetail joint construction.
The cabinet has its original 19th C glass and astragal glazing bars in diamond configuration
The cornice has a Greek key moulding.
Internally the cabinet has deep tall shelf space, with plate display bars around all of the edges.
The inside is painted a pale green with a waxed finish.
Working lock and key. Excellent condition throughout.
Dimensions: Height 77.5 inches, Depth into the corners 25.5 inches at the waist.
