Hutton-Clarke Antiques is pleased to offer a wonderful Georgian Gainsborough chair, circa 1800. This elegant piece stands on blind fretted Chippendale-style legs and features open arms adorned with beautifully carved acanthus leaves down the sabre fronts. The chair is upholstered in slightly worn but good quality fabric, likely needing recovering in fabrics such as damask, leather, or possibly needlework. It is a superb example of its kind, boasting excellent colour.
