Antique Gilt Wood Framed Oil Painting Portrait
A beautiful, large and very impressive antique oil painting. We don’t know who this is a portrait of, but he looks very important, and he could afford to employ a highly skilled artist to do this! I would say this dates from around the early-mid 19th century, possibly 1830-40’s.
It is beautifully executed, have a good look at the close up details of the face. The painting is in good original condition, there is no major damage to be seen.
The frame is a little worn and distressed in places, mostly around the lower section, seen in the images.
