This is a very decorative early 19th century Tibetan elm chest with attractive hand painted characters to the front panel. The chest is substantial in size so great for storage and has a later paper lining to the interior. The chest has its original hinges in good order and sizeable hand forged iron handles to the sides. This would make an interesting coffee table in the centre of a room. We also have another of these currently available so there is the rare opportunity of purchasing a matching pair. The chest measures 90 cms wide 58 cms deep and 60 cms high.
