This is an antique decorative jardiniere. A Chinese, ceramic planter on stand, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Enthusiastically finished with superb Chinese decorative appeal
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order - two small paint repairs present
White ceramic profusely decorated with a palette of colourful detail
Panels to each fascia set within a black foliate border
Female figures sit beneath a cherry blossom tree to the front and rear
Each side panel decorated with a bouquet of flowers visited by a bird of paradise and butterflies
The shaped stand presents a distinctive top surface, with its detailed wild scene
Character marks adorn the base of the planter and stand respectively
