A good late 19th. Century camphor wood campaign travelling trunk with protective brass straps, corners and escutcheon plates. The lid is lifted by a sunken brass handle and the void interior offers a large storage area. To each end are metal carrying handles and this trunk benefits from dovetailed joints and working lock with key. Ideal size to be used as a coffee table. In good overall condition with 1or 2 bumps and bruises associated with age and use. Dimensions:- Width...41''/ 104cm. Depth...20.5''/ 52cm. Height...17.25''/ 43.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. £48.
