An early 16th century gothic carved oak cupboard, French or Flemish.
The cupboard consists of a heavily carved gothic frontage , displaying fine bifoils and quatrefoil tracery. The four cupboard doors retain their original hinges and all have later working locks with a key.
The cupboard has a plank top with cleated ends and quadruple panelled sides, and stands on high stile supports.
This piece has a fabulous rich dark patina and has had some restorations, but is in excellent condition for its age.
