A 19th century French eight day striking mantel antique clock by J Marty Paris. The clock has a visible escapement, with an enamel face and roman numerals protected by bevelled edge glass. The dial is marked H A Marc Paris and the back plate is marked 56952 H A Marc. The beautiful case has waisted sides and the placing of the rouge marble makes it a very striking timepiece. The clock strikes on the hour and the half.
