A RARE & ICONIC BAIRD ADVERTISING CLOCK

VANNER & PREST'S MOLLISCORIUM
This is a beautiful example of the iconic advertising antique clock produced by the Baird Clock Co. It displays an advertisement for "Vanner & Prest's Molliscorium" , a compound used to soften leather.This clock dates at around 1870-80 and the Baird Clock Co. were the first company to use antique clocks as an advertising media. They used, in this antique clock, a Seth Thomas 8 day timepiece movement.
This clock is in absolutely clean original condition. The clock runs very well and keeps good time.The clock is 31" high and the width is 18"
